This robotics-based automation fully exploits the power of the ARL 9900 series of X-Ray Fluorescence spectrometers for production control applications in the very competitive metals, mining and cement industries. The SMS-2000 brain consists of a powerful Thermo Scientific Automation Workstation with comprehensive SMS software to fully automate sample preparation and analysis including registration, automatic result distribution, instrument control using check samples and standardization.
For operation on the production shop floor, the system can also be delivered as a turnkey package with sample preparation in a cabin called the ARL XRF QuantoShelter.
